Executive Director of Schools Support Team 3

    Heather Eberts

Ms. Eberts has demonstrated experience with collaborative instructional leadership and commitment to racial equity. Her work in Eagle County Schools focused on district-wide assessment and accountability; the creation of a Student Advocacy Group to support district improvement efforts; and coaching and supervising 18 principals and 8 district office directors. Prior experience includes three years as the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Executive Director of Elementary Education; she has also served as a principal, assistant principal, and classroom educator.

Ms. Eberts earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and her Master of Educational Leadership from Stetson University. Her interest in the pacific northwest and particularly the work of Seattle Public Schools developed several years ago after attending a professional development event in Seattle; she is excited to join a team with a demonstrated commitment to ensuring excellence for every student. When not focusing on teaching, learning and leadership, you can find her hiking, biking and exploring all the area has to offer.
