    Purpose

Highlight successful conservation actions at schools.

    Nominate Conservation Champion(s)

In 2016-17 we have temporarily suspended this program in response to budget restraints.
To nominate a conservation champion, email spsgoinggreener@seattleschools.org with the nominee, school, description of why you think they are a Conservation Champion, and your name.

No nomination is too small! Conservation Champions are people or groups that foster a culture of environmental conservation at Seattle Public Schools. They may be working on an ongoing, one-time, or future project/program/event. They may be a student, teacher, parent, Green Team, custodian, food service or administrative staff, volunteer, or other group/individual. Mostly, we just want to know what schools are up to so we can support that conservation work in the best possible way!

A school, group, or individual may be nominated multiple times for different conservation work (multiple nominations for the same project/work will not increase chances of winning). See below for examples of past nominations.

    Congratulations 2015/16 Conservation Champions!

In the spring, we asked schools to nominate a person or group that was working to foster a culture of conservation at their school. We are excited to share the Conservation Champion Awardees for this year! John Rogers Elementary School was randomly selected from the nominees to receive the $500 drawing prize.
