    Growth Boundaries Implementation

    Updated June 5, 2018

    High School Boundary Changes

There will be high school boundary changes implemented in 2019-20.

Elementary and Middle School Boundary Changes

There are no previously approved elementary or middle school boundary changes for the 2019-20 school year.

Boundary changes are under discussion to create an attendance area for Magnolia Elementary, which will open in fall 2019. These changes would most likely be to elementary students at Catharine Blaine K-8 and students at Lawton Elementary. No decisions have been made on boundaries, program placement, grandfathering or transportation.

Community meetings about Magnolia Elementary School are scheduled for June 11 and 13. For a complete update, please visit the Magnolia Elementary Boundaries page.

A change to the Maple Elementary School attendance area boundary is scheduled for fall 2020-21. It moves part of the current attendance area into the Van Asselt Elementary attendance area. Seattle Public Schools is exploring moving this change forward by one year, to go into effect for the 2019-20 school year.

A community meeting about the Maple/Van Asselt boundary is scheduled for June 14. Please see the Southeast Elementary School Boundaries page for more information.
