In-person Library Book Check out at Olympic View is starting!

When: Thursdays, 3-6pm starting March 4th

Where: Olympic View’s courtyard near parking lot

What to expect:  I will set up a pop-up tent with pre-selected books in categories of early readers, picture books, nonfiction books, graphic novels etc. that will be available for checkout. Students can pick up to 3 books and check out with me in person on site. Students can also pick up holds at this time. Books that are on display are the only books that will be available for check out.

How:  To make this work, there are several additional protocols that are in place beyond, face masks and social distancing:

    1. One family at a time to look at books
    2. Students/families are not to touch the books until they are ready to check out; these are safety protocols set by the district. So, look with your eyes not your hands! Take your selected book check out to me or Mrs. Ryseff for check out. I will try and have books laid out in such a way that they are easy to see. Students at all grade levels can check out up to 3 books at a time.
    3. Hand sanitizer and gloves will be available for use, but please wear your own face mask.
    4. If you are returning books, please put them in yellow bin on NE 95th St. These books are ‘quarantined’ for two weeks before they circulate again.

I am thrilled to start seeing families and students again! Let me know if you have any questions. Also, don’t forget to use this link or QR code if you would like me to book shop for you. I will communicate when books are ready to pick up via “Talking Points”.
