** I’ve bought a notebook for home to school communication. I will also provide a folder for work to go home and come back to school in.
 
*** If your child was in Ms. Chapman’s classroom for the 2013-14 school year, he will be in her class for the 2014-15 school year and will be upstairs in Room #205.  Please buy these supplies not the general education class.
Kindergarten Supply List
·       1 one-inch 3-ring binder in navy blue (Please DO NOT write your child’s name on it. )
·       2 packages of Crayola Markers (non-toxic). Put names on boxes.(Second package will be used once the first set dries out.)
·       3 sturdy folders (of your choice) with two pockets to carry papers back and forth each day.
·       2 reams of copy paper
·       One backpacklarge enough to fit paper folder and 3-ring binder. Be sure to put your child’s name in it.
·       3 containers of Clorox wipes
·       12 pack of glue sticks
·       24 sharpened pencils – preferably Ticonderoga brand
·       1 box of gallon-sized Ziploc bags
Optional Items:
 
·       box of Kleenex
·       hand sanitizer
·       sandwich-sized Ziploc bags
·       Play-Doh.
 
* Kindergarten classes often use items that are not stocked in our school supply room. If you would like to contribute money to our classroom account, please make checks payable to Olympic View School and note that it is a donation for Ms. Heindl’s, Ms. Cieslar’s, Ms. Mora’s or Mrs. Fenigsohn’s classroom.
1st Grade Supply List
Backpack (with your child's name on it)

6-12 Expo fine tip dry erase markers (balck or blue)
Ine set of Crayola markers
2 packages of Ticonderoga pencils
2 boxes of 24 Crayola crayons
1 tub of clorox wipes

2 reams of copy paper
1 red folder with pockets (please do not label)
1 purple folder with pockets (please do not label)
1 spiral notebook (college ruled)
1 box of Ziploca bags (sandwich or gallon sized)
***Our classrooms typically use items that are not stocked in our school supply room. If you would like to contribute money to our classroom account, write a check for $10 or more made out to Olympic View Elementary.
2nd Grade Supply List
Backpack (with your child's name on it)
Water Bottle (not disposable - with your child's name on it)

Box of healthy snacks for the snack cupboard

Our classrooms typically use items that are not stocked in our school supply room.  If you would like to contribute to our classroom account, please make checks out to Olympic View Elementary and identify for class projects and supplies. 
3rd Grade Supply List
  • 24 Ticonderoga pencils, sharpened if possible
  • 12 clear glue sticks
  • 2 containers of Clorox wipes
  • 2 reams of copy paper
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 package of snack or sandwich size Ziploc bags
  • 1 small water bottle (to fit inside a student desk – this is a must!)
  • Snacks to share with the classWe suggest crackers, goldfish, cheez-its, pretzels, graham crackers, animal crackers, vanilla wafers, granola bars, cereal bars, etc. Try to purchase snacks that don’t have a lot of sugar or chocolate. Please don’t send cookies, candy or chips.
  • $15 for teacher-prepared journals, notebooks, folders, etc. Please make checks payable to Olympic View.

  • Box of tissues (2) – More tissue may be requested during the second half of the school year.
  • Roll of paper towels (1)
  • Two dozen pencils – Students should bring these pencils on the first day of school. We will request two dozen more pencils from students in January and April.
  • Simple calculator to use at home 
  • Protractor to use at home (There will be the need to have a protractor for
           math homework.)
  • A ruler with both inches and centimeters to be kept at home for math homework 
  • A can of tennis balls (used is great!)  
Suggested:
Backpack (it is our experience that students who do not bring backpacks or bookbags
      to school struggle to keep their homework and paperwork organized.)
Markers
Small scissors – to be kept at home for homework.
5th Grade Supply List
  • Three ring, 2” binder with a package of dividers
  • Small pencil pouch (for inside binder) with small pencil sharpener
