SPS has adopted new procedures for excusing absences due to family trips. Funerals and religious holidays can be excused for up to 5 days if out of state; vacations are not excused unless an educational plan is included. Please see the following documents for details:

This year, we've started a before-school program ($3/day) to allow families to drop off their students as early as 8:30 AM. Click here for more information and the registration form (MS Word .doc).

At Olympic View Elementary this year our goal is to read 10,000 books!  We can reach this goal by the end of the year if every student reads at least 20 books.  Principal Baeder has promised the school community a special surprise if we reach our goal.
