PTA General Meeting
The Final PTA General Meeting is Thursday, June 15th, at 6:30PM in the OV lunchroom! We will be discussing and voting on a budget for next year and voting on next year’s PTA officers. This is your chance to help decide what the PTA does next year! Everyone is Welcome! We’ll have food and entertainment for kiddos! You do need to be a PTA member to vote and there’s still time to sign up to be a member this year. We look forward to seeing you!
Attention 5th Grade Families…
Please remember to send your student’s baby picture to Laura and Chelsea so that we can ensure that all 5th graders are included in the 5th grade graduation slide show.
Photos can be sent to yearbook@ovpta.org. Thank you!
It’s time to order your 2022-23 OV Yearbook!
They are 60 full-color pages of portraits and candid photos taken throughout the year and cost $20 each. Be on the lookout for a form in your child’s backpack, or go to the Olympic View Parent Teacher Association (PTA) website to order. Quantities are limited, so order soon! Yearbooks will be distributed the final week of school.
If you are able, please consider donating a little extra so the PTA can ensure that every 5th grader receives a yearbook, regardless of ability to pay.
Please email laura@stdin.org if you have any questions.

All students will need to return the SPS device and accessories during the week of collection. Collection for all grades will begin on Wednesday, June 21st and continue until Friday, June 23rd, 2023. School Supplies for 2023-24 School Year
The OV PTA is doing it again! You don’t have to think about First Day of School Supplies! Yay! While you’re enjoying your summer, the PTA will be shopping for deals and making bulk purchases of all the basic school supplies per the OV teachers’ supply lists. We’re doing this (following the example of many other PTAs) to promote equity and to remove the burden of shopping for school supplies from families. All OV students will have the same high-quality pencils, markers, folders, etc., to begin the school year strong! And we’re pretty sure that it will cost you less than it would to buy them individually.
In September, your student’s desk or classroom will be stocked with all the requested supplies. The PTA will inform all OV families of the average cost of one student’s supplies for each grade and you can send payment for your student to the PTA easily via our website, or cash or check, for your family’s supplies. That’s all there is to it!
Can you help us with this project over the summer? Can you find some deals and procure 7,000 pencils? Does your high schooler want to help you find the best deal on spiral notebooks? This is a big job for a few people, but an easy job for a dozen families. Let us know if you can help a little, or a lot. Email president@ovpta.org with questions.
The OVPTA seeks your input as we prepare the 2023-2024 PTA Budget!
The generous OV community (that’s YOU!) funds the PTA and receives the benefits of PTA spending. Are we spending money on the right things? We hope that you will share with us what your priorities are. The survey will allow for free form answers or you can simply check a few boxes. Thank you for helping the PTA support our students!
Contact president@ovpta.org with questions or comments.
