The Eagle – Week of May 13
Letter from Principal Bean
Dear Families,
Teacher Appreciation Week: On behalf of the staff, thank you to all the families who provided the delicious lunches, treats, cards, flowers etc. We really felt spoiled, and it made for a great week. I wanted to call out Chelsea Whittle for helping to organize the event and to Tiffany McNees and Andrea Chaddock for the Italian Soda/Coffee cart on Friday!
May Attribute of a Changemaker: This month we are focusing on the theme of “kindness”. On Monday our Virtue Assembly will feature our kindergarteners!
Spirt Day: This Wednesday is OV Spirit Day. Wear any Olympic View gear such as the Move-a-thon shirt!
Second Grade Artist in Residency: Thanks to our PTA fundraising efforts, second graders have begun their Artist in Residency experience. Summaya Diop is teaching songs, dances and drumming from West Africa!
5th Grade Begins SBA Testing: SBA Testing begins for fifth grade this week. If you are planning any appointments, please check in with your child’s teacher to make sure it is not during a testing session. In addition, please make sure your student gets to bed on time and has a good breakfast.
In Partnership!

Field Day is almost here! Friday, May 31
Field Day is coming up, and we are so excited! Field Day will be held on Friday, May 31st, starting with lunch and moving into the afternoon outdoor activities with 15 stations. To make this day successful, we need volunteers who can help make this a day to remember for all our students. We need lots of sidewalk chalk, 10 lunch helpers, and 40 volunteers to help run the Field Day stations. All students will get a free lunch if they choose to have the lunch offered.
Please make sure you are approved to volunteer. Apply or Renew Volunteer Application
